My name is Susan and I am a part of the team at Teesdale School Catering. I have worked in school catering since 1993 when both my children attended Startforth School and later Teesdale School. I found that working at the school fitted in very well with family life and school holidays. My main role in the kitchen is preparing sandwiches, baguettes and wraps with the delicious home made fillings. I also create the salads and fruit boxes. These are a far cry from the pre-packed meats and fillings of previous years. I also check in the deliveries making sure that the produce we receive is of the correct quality. Serving of the customers and washing up duties are shared by all.
